Strangely enough, I always make male characters, but they end up looking oddly effeminate. Must be the JRPG's ! But give me a fighting game ... and I'll generally chose a female character.
One guy I know always creates a female character in his RPG's. He says he does it so he'll have something good to look at while he's playing through the many hours of the game. I think it's possible that it's the only female he actual feels comfortable with...just sayin'!!
This topic actually relates with guys who go "gaga" over games like Tomb Raider. They get so upset if there's a pixel out of place on Lara's character... and the same guys scour the internet trying to find the codes that will let them see their Lara character perform her famous moves naked.
Ah... young male gamers are a lonely and misunderstood bunch.
